"He's a professional how to artist, not an artist."

George Bridgeman Study, one artist worth studying.

Use reference, don't let it use you.

Used to take part lurking in an old forum called conceptart.org, sites shut down and I don't intend to come back.

Some teachers were worth the time, others were out of touch entrepreneurs who's lost their artistic touch. Treating students like overused factory cogs.

There was a teacher there, called Elwell. He was one that was worth the time.

We were talking about called Christopher Hart. Who was churning out many a how-to book by the dozen.

"He's a professional how-to artist, not an artist."

Two very diverging points of specificity. Exactly right.

You can create your own how-to with self-efficacy once you are doing your own personal projects. Getting too much reference that you drown in them ain't the point. Not getting lost within it's marketing hype. Because for them, it's never enough.
