Direct messaging is that, direct. Be sure to do when one has to. A direct interruption that wastes the time and attention of the prospect. Burns it.
Where parasocial relationships and camaraderie is used and exploited. You better treat the initial response as priceless.
Is there anyway they can still pay attention to your direct message out of sync? Will they pay attention?
Do they pay attention more live? Is it more exhausting? Those are off the list. The workload should not ruin the sleep schedule.
There may not even give a response rate and block that you'll never understand, that is expected, if you gave a something you'd say to then one to one. You did your best. One can only respond appropriately and move on. They responded with a block, try to not waste time with a ghoster and politely ghost back or try to send to a more preferred means of communication.
Personal, intimate interactions of medium messages is where it's at. The transaction is already fraught. That's the price to pay. Asking and high pressuring a number to go up is one of the most unnatural things.
