Static/Dynamic poses

Pose Showdown (I may have nailed the artist's mark.)

It came from discord, regarding the posing of pin-ups.

Reflecting on Zhang's consternation of poses. Had some thoughts brewing.

- A stiff static pose ain't necessarily bad like (Thinking of Albect Durer the stiffest poser), as Glenn Vlipuu would say, "there are no rules, only tools." If you'd like to see it done well, see Rino Tuna's character design for examples you can think of it as static/dynamic for the pin-up design.

Yep, using the coaching cop-out "it depends!" depends on the composition/design needs.

-For more dynamic pose study, you can look at animators Like Richard Williams, even breaking joints and studying movement to find what gesturally possible.  Muybridge also has a reference library of motion.

Get creative to find dynamic poses, sports, dance and other activities. Hope this helps.

Contrapposta can be studied too, if one wants to add dynamism in poses.
