Authenticity a snare/emotional labour

I do out of respect, even when tired. Showing up professionally is worth of admiration.

When one shows up on schedule, I expect them to give a service of meeting the minimum required specifications. One of those is to not throw a tantrum.

Being honest, frank, and open, even showing to a guy who ain't agnostic with a point of view that's say, controversial? Even to the point of iconoclastism. That's one thing. Yet a tantrum. No. That's now how's it done.
There are arguments for and against emotional labour. That people should be authentic or not, well. In my field as a mature/adult entertainer, I'm going to have to lead in with not being authentic. Giving my own experiences. It's to show solidarity with those care workers that helped me so much.

Even to this day, my guardian's pet has passed away just a while ago. They could throw a tantrum about it, yet no. They were adequately prepared about it, took it in stride and showed up to give a generous service to the client, which is me. Not to be mediocre, yet matter bit by bit.

All those low-status jobs that do labour on demand, despite wincing on the inside. Deserve their dignity and respect. Work on demand, bespoke and live.

Authenticity has become a selling point used by influencers that's been used, even if it's hard to be fully authentic over social media since you're following the social media schedule, which is on all the time. Being on schedule requires some form of self-control that's required.

When somebody gets complimented based on authenticity alone, there is nothing else nice to say based on their views, it's been used to defend hate platforming.
