Make a living with commissions?

Considering a line that I may have to cross, not to throw shade with others.

No, social media grooming others is playing to the algorithm. It will cut right directly into my creative freedom and the most precious asset I have, the time I have to make a difference to the oc/furry tribe, to provide a magical collaboration of possibility.

The algorithm, It's more interested in raising hate platforms that discriminate the disenfranchised and imperialized, I understand it's a business that's more interested in pleasing shareholders than the former. Hustling others ain't in my blood.

I'll do it if I have to, That's the entire purpose of those commissions, it's to simply move a number up. The commission industrial complex won't stop to anything to make others humblebrag their status roles to be picked by a publisher, or a fan.
.
Making a living from such a hobby won't mean one has “made it”

Thinking that art's value is intrinsically within how much of a commission it is can be physiologically warped. There are artworks that have shipped that did not cash in, Mona lisa to Vincent van Gogh are being some examples. There's the history of art being a gift, and a gift it will be. I don't want to industrialize a hackneyed set of expressions.

This is the best job in the world if I can pick my clients, audience, and projects with the creative freedom free from the restraints of monetization.

The coffers are alright. The better version of myself needs to be pursued rather than the trends at the time.

So no, not right now. The pressure ain't there yet. Sometimes it's better to be an engaged, scheduled amateur with the mindset of a creative professional than a hack.
