Words with cartooning with the books

I let these stew in my subconscious!

As one moves towards the specialization of cartooning, new words crop up to open doors to the technical work of the craft. All from the reflection of the books of the previous post.

Tableaux Viviant

18th century, 19th century term. Of frozen statues meant to tell a story. One of the earliest words to describe the phenomenon of stagecraft and understand.

Gag Reflex

That state of a gag the cartoonist comedian engineers to make a joke. It was part of a newspaper's comedian cartoonist's job. To invoke, unless if they're exploring any other genre.

Drama? Thats another method of telling, comedy/drama are means to tell.

Streamline

As opposed to dumbing it down, Ernie Busmiller had more respect for his audience, as his book demonstrates. All part of the process to communicate clearly to the audience of children and their parents.

He streamlined for ( he did not have the words at the time ) for the smallest viable audience.

Realism/signification

Another means to view stylization, according to Hirohiko. This is a way to see articulation of detail, with that to see it realistic.

Another way to see them

Outline                             Mass
(cartoon)                        (Graphic)
<------------------------------------->
                            Form                                 Form
(Perspective)                    (Rendering)

From Marshal Vandruff, This is irrespective from academic ways, though.

Flatpacking

A means to simplify without infantilization, Outline and form.

Infantilization can serve to theme, or can be omitted.
