Positives of the luddites/Neil Postman

I have been uncharitable to the historiography of the Luddites, especially, but I want to know what lessons we can draw from history. There is, however, a polysemy and ambiguity in historiography that we are going to have to grapple with for the rest of our lives.

Neil Postman taught me of the dangers of an entertainment monopoly. Along with how social media and its drawbacks affect how our audience captures jobs in the market, with how sardonic it can get, and in many ways, that of the foggishness of mob rule generally.
