Hello Entertainment company, who should be boycotted along with still suing over its Steamboat Willie.
Remember something similar, not directly, when it comes to the tastemaker and trendsetter, that's with economy and the strength of joy? Being the centre of the entertainment marked with a mawkish fence sitting, universal appeal, a goofy little grin and a candy of the family friendly comfy. Dangerous statecraft and regime status quo.
Yet you've got hacks when it comes to PR, come on all as it's with a thousand lawsuits bougie investments. Licensing only cares about privatisation of property, making style and then scraping next, what will that silly mind come up with?
Bu-Bye!
My own comic is under notice and too off-model for you, so I'll guess I'll get away with it.
When mass entertainment and its apologists happen to carry the banality on, a company not related yet affliated with disney must give the audience what it wants.
Jessica Price (from Bsky) I'll leave it the retweet here.

I need people to understand that Disney has not been a force for good in decades, if it ever was, and that it’s understanding of stories as a pacifying rather than liberating force rivals Christianity’s.
It’s the First Lady of the status quo, the quelling soft power.

DISNEY: Wins 5 Emmys for ANDOR, a show about resisting fascism
ALSO DISNEY: Bends the knee to the federal government and suspends Jimmy Jimmy Kimmel for resisting fascism
Disney, probably better than any other corporate storyteller, has a finely honed sense of exactly how much liberation to season its stories with to make you feel like progress is happening, things are better than they used to be, the arc of history is one of inevitable progress.
That is true on both a micro and a macro level. It’s big enough to let some queer artists, artists of color, artists who wanted to tell countercultural stories, have a little corner of the spotlight. Why not? It’s not going to tank Disney. Have fun!
They can tell their stories and you can marvel that they got funding and meanwhile Disney will help make sure very little changes on a legislative level.
Sure! Have some stories about revolution! Stories that make you feel good, rather than angry. Stories about things getting better.
And hey, even a few that might make you angry, or might not feel good, or might make you question that status quo a little.
The thing is, the Disney pot is big enough that that little bit of spice isn’t going to noticeably change the spice level of the entire stew.
The biggest projects are going to reinforce the status quo, and that’s enough that they probably don’t even need to disavow any of those little projects.
Disney is status quo soft power, the First Lady who listens sympathetically to the children at hospitals dying because health care isn’t affordable, who raises funds for some of the photogenic ones, and you think hey her husband can’t be that bad, look how compassionate and beautiful she is.
Never forget how much faster things would become public domain if it weren’t for Disney. Never forget how it treats its laundry workers. Never forget how it insisted on being the government of a bit of Florida.
Disney is not going to meaningfully stand up to the powers that be because it’s one.
I think escapism is vitally important to emotional health, and also, I think Disney uses it to make you nod along rather than rebel.
Look, I fell for it a few times and I get it, but in 2025 I need you to know that every giant corporation out there would harvest you for parts of it thought it could get away with it, and most brands are owned by one of those corporations.
And no, it’s not all profit-driven. The idea that corporations are purely rational actors is itself propaganda."
Welp, A legal fiction, a collective popular appeal. Informally, I'll put this by solar sands to help with this. The john lockean concept or monopoly that's bound with the legal framework of copyright, (Makes me sympathetic to the concept of copyleft.)
I'd rather cooperate than compete, yet who's interests here are being served, a utopian infinity of might?
ICYMI here's Solar sand's video on this.
(The minecraft got a hit, merely shows how small these sectors of the internet are with all these things going on, yet don't worry, I appreciate you reading this.)
So yeah I'll forever be fair in my characterisation of these centrist publishers, the panopticon of direct response rates. Mmm, Still in the building, are they?
B-B Bonus video, another reason to not trust publishers, is their fans. More unfettered feed from my ID.
